Family

As you may have noticed given my name, I am indeed a member of the Ofosu-Amaah family of Aburi and JamesTown, Ghana.   Let's see... As of September 1998, we had just entered our fouth generation (three cheers for Michael and Maria Nartey). I am sure before long, the Mould and Ofosu-Amaah branches will be equally successful.  Someday someone will organize a proper homepage for us with all our antecedants and achievements. I am sure there are enough academics, bankers, doctors or engineers in the family that would be up to the task. For now, I will use the lazy method (search engines on the web)
A quick search at Altavista turned up a few links about some family members:

  • An uncle was behind the Bamako Initiative of Unicef
  • My cousin, Nii Amaah (DC) is rumoured to be a veritable goal-scoring machine in football (ergo soccer for those inclined to Americana)
  • Amusingly enough, Ofosu-Amaahs are even supposed to be among the "most powerful people at the UN".
  • The Ohene side (the maternal Abutia connection ) is similarly well connected (see the BBC Focus on Africa page)
  • Not to mention that gadget-obsession also runs in the family...
