To the Editors, I noticed that In the 957 words that made up Helene Cooper's June 21, 2007 article "U.S. Is Urging Blair to Be Lead Mideast Envoy", there was no mention of the phrase "Gordon Brown" nor indeed "next Prime Minister of Britain". Perhaps analysis is no longer germane to the practice of journalism and we are all mouthpieces to hubristic blather? Or perhaps an editing error caused a modicum of relevance to be deleted from the article? Is this news? Please advice on the matter. Observers are worried. Really! I expect better from both the reporter and the editors. -- Koranteng Ofosu-Amaah -- Koranteng's Toli - the blog edition https://koranteng.blogspot.com/ |
